Early/late lock set

Hi Guys, can anyone tell me when the T25 lock sets where changed from early to later models?? I have an 87 E plate T25 and need to get a new lock set as the keys have been lost by the previous owner.I have looked on ebay and most listings state early models and say that the sliding door and tailgate locks will not fit later models 
.....Which do i need ??
