Just bought my first T25.........and now what?

Firstly a big hello to everyone on the site, i'm a new member and owner so please be gentle with me.

I've just bought my first campervan, a beautiful 1989 T25 hightop Autohomes Kameo watercooled 1915cc doodaa. Before buying the little lady i've read much about what to look for etc and armed with what knowledge i gained from brilliant sites such as this i went in search of a van. I seem lucky as the bus i bought is a cracker, good body work, solid underneath, service history etc etc. What now i ask myself and how do i keep her in that way. As we are not blessed with the best of weather in the UK and our vehicles are wide open to the elements and if like me, you do not have a garage and your beloved is left in the street, how do you guys maintain the good looks of your vans? I've recently scoured the internet for covers for high tops and they seem non existent? Does anyone have any suggestions? As i'm a T25 virgin and my knowledge and understanding of these things is in its infancy, how often should the gal be serviced? (no pun intended) etc etc. Questions Questions.

Can anyone set me on my way with my new machine and give me some basic info.

Thanks in advance

As a fellow new t25 owner myself, I'll leave the advice to the pro's but in the meantime: hello and nice looking van :ok

Hi there lovely looking van :idea i was wondering if a small caravan cover might fit the bill. As regards servicing i would think once a year would be ok but its all dependent on the milage you do.

as said erlier now get camping :ok

My recommendation is don't cover it up. The condensation is worse that the elements IMHO.

Probably find that a Just Kampers breathable cover will fit but wont quite go right to the bottom, like every one says, best to leave it uncovered. Unless tightly secured and a proper fit, covers can mark your paintwork as it flaps about in windy weather.

As for service intervals/requirements, get a Haynes Manual, its all in there.

Hi there caprice and thanks for the response? i shall endeavour to find out if this will do. So i can presume from the answers in this thread that they dont make covers specifically for the high tops? and it seems to leave it out....... thats unexpected
