I've had a 3 point seatbelt fitted on the nearside of the bench seat and T loves being in the back and I have to say I quite like it too!

However, the backrest of the bench is barely held in place by two very small bolts that aren't properly screwed in, as I discovered just recently. I've tried to tighten them up but one side is just not biting on anything.

Anyway, it's certainly not secure enough if I were in a shunt of any kind so I'd like to put something more sturdy in. T will have to put up with the passenger seat until I've sorted it.

Just wondered what other people have got there?

Ours has the - probably Autohomes standard - door-latch-type-tongues which latch behind two ghastly brackets on either side. To be honest I'm not so worried about having a shunt because the seatbelts would prvide the protection, but it's a rubbish way to hold up the seats. Have thought about replacing these with long door-bolt type thingies which I'm sure I've seen on somebody else's. You're welcome to drop by and compare notes!

I think I already have the long door bolt thingy but it's actually quite a short door bolt and it's not very securely attached to the seat either so basically doesn't engage properly.

We're away over Easter but maybe the weekend after?

My seat is a Bluebird customs one which has a steel frame and is really sturdy! I wouldnt worry about it too much its the seatbelt you need to make sure thats well bolted in!
