Brake Servo Vacuum Hose

I need to replace the brake servo vacuum hose on the 1.9 DG engine in my van. This is the flexible braided hose that runs from the n/s inlet manifold up to the non-return valve/solid plastic pipe adjacent to the large brown box containing electrickery stuff. The hose is approximately 200mm long with an external diameter of 17mm.
I have searched the JK & GSF websites but neither of them stock this item. The hose is the rubber braided type, similar to the flexible fuel pipe used by VW but much wider in diameter. I may try a local motor factors to see if they can help. Has anyone replaced one of these hoses & do you know what the internal diameter is?

Jeff, that's great, thanks mate.
I will send you a PM as I can't text you because those nice people at O2 have cut off my mobile phone (despite it being in credit) because I don't use it enough.

Don't want to tell you how to suck eggs but.............you drill a small hole in the base.......lol ........
Just a word of caution, vacuum hose may look similar to coolant hose but it is constructed completely differently! vacuum pipe resists collasping , it is rigid when you try and squash it, coolant pipe behaves the opposite way, it resists ballooning but can be easily squashed.
Putting normal coolant/fuel hose on the vacuum supply could prove fatal.

Yesterday afternoon, having carried out an oil/oil filter/air filter change, I was checking various hoses in the engine bay when I noticed that the vacuum hose was flat (ie.squashed) along 25% of it's length. The hose is nothing like coolant hose but appears to be like fuel hose. The vacuum hose had a split in it about 1.5 inches long, running lengthwise & is perished at that point.
The vacuum hose has a rubber core with a cloth braided exterior just like fuel hose only as previouly stated it has an external diameter of 17mm approx. The construction appears to be the same as fuel hose. What sort of type of vacuum hose do other 80-90ers with 1.9DG engines have?
This is the one between the inlet manifold & the non-return valve.

Most of the vacuum type hose I've seen has been steel reinfoced so not to collapse under vacuum (as yours has) if the pipe were to collaspe entirely the brake pedal would go solid and you would loose at least 50% of your braking effort...that's just fact and hence the reason for being very cautious about what you use as a replacement.

Many thanks to Grumpy Midget (Jeff) for meeting me this afternoon on the A580 near St.Helens & supplying me with necessary hose & a piece of solid pipe to repair the brake servo vacuum hose on my van.
Cheers Jeff.
