My van has stood for 7 months. Need a few jobs. So i've recently had the carb of and I know it has water pipes running through the choke. (pierburg 2e3)

Now I have sorted the carb problem and the van runs nice.

However I now have steam coming from the foot vents when I put the sliders on hot to my feet. Any ideas?

and to cap it off the tempratue guage is working now and again depending where the heating sliders are. This could be due to the fact I pushed all the wires back in the junction box in the engine bay.

I have bleed the system afrom the screw in the front radiator.

I might try this again.

But this steam thing from the heat feet vents----- has my van turned into a sweedish sauna. If so anyone for camping and a sauna?

Any suggestions please because I want to go camping.

The question is ... How long did you have it running for ? It could just be condensation on the heater rad.... :D

PS, and has it done it again since ?

I think Fritz is trying to be optimistic for you...problem is this sounds like the heater matix (the small heater radiator behind the dash) has sprung a leak and needs replacing.
