What is the width and ET of the wheels Scott because it sounds like the ET is not high enough to "tuck" the wheels into the arches?

It is possbile to roll the arches but if they stick out as much as you say they do,rolling the arches won't help much i'm afraid.

Ebay scott 005.jpg

Both are 8.5 inches wide by 17 with 205 50 tyres. I think the et is 50 with the 25 mm adapters should be et25? I'm guessing :?

i suppose with stiffer springs and shocks the van wont lean as hard when cornering. It'll look mean and if it does rub i'll poss roll the arches or narrower tyres?

Cheers for the input :ok

If it helps, iv'e got wide 17's on the rear, offset of about +10, and the suspension will hit the bumpstops before arches foul.

8.5" wide alloys on the front with an effective ET of 25 and lowered means there's going to be tyre/arch contact at some time i'm afraid Scott.

Cheers, i'll see soon.

My mate reckons when i lower it the wheels might tuck in a bit more due to the swing of the wishbone which will help.

i'll post pics when i do it so you can all shake your heads in disbelief
Ha ha.

IMHO it's the lowering that's the problem. I have JK -60mm JK and it is total rubbish.

Exactly!

There's loads and loads of info on here and elsewhere on how to lower a T25 correctly, and safely.

It's just that some people choose to do...before reading and learning the correct way! :)

i am on my third set of lowering springs and have finaly got it right, i went full avo and the ride is great, no wheel/arch contact. would it be poss to put a thinner shim in the front? or will it start fouling the front sus then?

I'm running 18s on my 88 Magnum by Oettinger.

225/40s up front and 245/40s on the back all with lowered springs slightly raked towards the front. I also fitted a set of Bilstein sport shocks on the front and have some spring adjust's to fit on the front to help with the bounce.

No fowling of the arches either, and it corners great.

HMMMM Full AVOs. Will check it out. Cant reduce the spacers / adapters really, could possibly get them skimmed down 5mm if needed.

Cheers
