Now i have your attention,

what is the average gap between the door and the piller on the front doors, mine seems to wide to me and the door springs when you push them closed slowly, they need a firm hard push to shut, is this common. I have tried adjusting them but it's still the same. Any advice or suggestions?

Good question but remember these are basically commercial vehicles so door gaps were not a priority when they were designed, anyway first thing I would do is check the condition of the door seals as poorly fitted new ones or even badly worn old one will cause problems with the simple process of closing the doors.....

But if as you suggest their is a massive gap at the catch side and the front edge is much smaller then it may be safe to say the hinges on the 'A' post may have been strained or positioned to far forward if they have been replaced in the past.

The fix would be to fully remove the door and tweek the hinge (by pulling it back just a fraction) with a suitable tool that will move it as one.
Body shops use these types of tools but you can make your own with a decent length of steel.

mines about 11mm looks very vide though?

That would drive me nuts.

That happened to a mates car, when the wind took the door and bent the hinge mounts.

when i buy any vehicle i run my little finger inside all the gaps round the doors you can "feel" if there is anything odd going on try it and u will see what i mean ...........can indicate accident damage, replacement parts , filler all sorts of stuff...............the gaps round doors are very difficult to get equal if the vehicle has been repaired..............like i said try it and see
