Labour time to weld in cab steps

Hi,

I need both cab steps replacing and I was wondering if anyone knew a rough price for the labour or time taken for a welder to do both cab steps? I know the steps themselves are £25 per side from JK.

I haven't had a chance to get any quotes and my brother is taking my van in for a quote from the welding guy that works at his taxi garage in Essex. If his price seems comparable I am tempted to just let him get on with it.

Thanks in advance.

As an alternative get a gasless mig Welder and a sheet of body steel and do it yourself and you will have it for the next job. They are easy peasy to use after a bit of practice on some scrap and you will get new friends as a bonus :) Get a drill mounted sheet steel cutter as well or tin snips and an Angle grinder AND some Goggles. Also a set of Welders steel clamps or some Mole Grips.
