Hi guys, i have a problem and i wonder if anyone has any contacts or ideas?

I took my van out the other week and it started to make a whining noise in first gear. Any way the noise got worse, and eventually it would not stay in first. As i tried to pull away it would pop out of gear. Since then I have taken the gearbox out as i know it needs some attention to fix it. I was just wondering if anyone had any contacts of where i could get it overhauled. I think a gear may have slipped, but thought while the box is out i should get it overhauled. Also i thought i would look into getting the starter motor looked at as well whilst it is accessible.

If anyone has any ideas of where is best to get the gearbox and starter motor overhauled i would much appreciate it!!!! Ohh and one final thing is there a preffered make of clutch that is better to buy than any other??

I have an Aiden gearbox just in front of my Subaru engine. Top bit of kit. Highly recommended.

Hi guys cheers for the advice. I phoned him today, he seems definately like the best person to get to rebuild it but i don't have that kind of money at the moment. I think i will have to try and source another one. Does anyone know of anyone with a decent second hand gearbox for sale or whether any other gearboxes will fit?

I have a mate who's got an aap box,he wants £400 for it.
