Hi, I have an Auto Sleeper T25 and the electrics have died! All the normal van electrics are ok but the interior lights, fridge and water pump don't, if I hook up the fridge works but none of the others do. I have taken a look at the hook up box and it seem to be ok, I've checked all the fuses and they are ok.
Anyone got any suggestions on what the problem could be?

Have thay worked correctly up til now or is it a new van (to you) ? Autosleepers had zig units I think, so it could be a switch on there that's the problem.

They all worked ok until about June last year when we were away with the van and they just stopped working, I've had a bit of a look at it but couldn't find anything obvious.

There's a main fuse (30amp) either next to the leisure battery or the starter.. check that

nor will they as they are 12v the water pump, propex, interior lights are 12 Volt

When you say fuses, have you checked the trip switch rcd thing? Obvious, but obvious often gets overlooked, or it does by me anyway
Then the in line main fuse by the battery? OOps quick E D I T, simultaneous posting with Kevtherev on that fuse
Or if it's been laid up, knacked battery? corroded terminals or dodgy earth/

There will be a fuse in line from the leisure battery and should be fitted very close to it. Might be worth checking, how familiar are you with vehicle electrics and using a multimeter?

I am actally an electrician but not too hot on vehicle electrics. I've only had chance to have a quick look at it up to now but I'm planning on having a better look this weekend and just want a few pointers to start me off. The leisure battery fuse sounds promising as I haven't looked at that yet and all the other fuses are ok.

The fridge will run off the hook up on 240 volts (and off 12 volts from the alternator but only with the engine running) but the rest of the interior bits (water pump,interior lights, water gauge, fridge ignitor) work off the main battery (or the leisure battery if you have one fitted).
There should be a 20 amp fuse from which ever battery you have connected (somewhere in the battery compartment if I remember, or perhaps just outside).
Perhaps this has blown,(If so why?). Or have you just got a discharged leisure battery? On my Autosleeper pushing the button below the fresh water contents gauge will bring up one of three indicator lights for state of charge of the battery. If no light at all, fuse, connection or battery dead.

You chaps are all ahead of me but here goes anyway.

Cheers for that Mike, with a bit of luck I should be able to find the problem now and get back on the road!

I belive the in-line fuse next to one of the batteries (I'm sure mine has fuses next to both batteries) will blow if the aux battery has got so low. I found that a connector most likely fitted by Autosleeper on my starting battery had a stray strand of wire sticking out of it and it was touching metal and blowing fuses.

As Kev and others have stated I would suggest maybe checking fuses first including the fuses on the control panel, then the battery (any friendly motor factor/garage may do this for free) then look deeper at say the control panel.

Hi guys, I looked at the battery fuse, 40A and it had blown, I replaced this tried the electrics and they still didn't work so went for a drive around to see if this would charge up the leisure battery and all seems to be working ok now so thank's for all your words of advice.
