Just having a poke around my bus today and discovered this.

That is probably the shallow end, behind the fridge and wardrobe being the deep end!
Should i strip the whole lot out and sort it now? It will take at least a couple of months with a day here and a day there.

I'm having similar trouble myself, started doing a little bit of cosmetic tidying and have now got the floor out and bits everywhere. It's a bit depressing but at some point I'm going to have to think about what I can realistically achieve without having the van off the road for months. I wish I had a big garage and could do this sort of stuff during the winter instead of in this weather when I want to be driving it. I think that's the decider for me, do I want to be driving it or pulling it apart?

this is all down to crap window seals..the van has proberbly more than enuff protection on the outside originaly but they didnt do such a good job on the inside.your second pic shows where its got in and sat in the void where the panels are joined .get them seals sorted if its still wet in there mate :ok

look at the state of your bed clothes you dirty boy :rofl
what do you do with it? is it all deeply pitted? wire brush it and soak it with waxoil or dinitrol if its mainly surface rust, spend ours grit blasting it and por15 then waxoil(thats what i did) grit blaster is here if you need it. :D after you have done what you decide on get those windows sealed and stop the water getting in there. i have loads of sealant for the job here just let me know if you need it. its all do able probably not in a week though.

I have had the o/s window out today. Cleaned, cut and welded in new metal. I have been keeping a photo diary on how to do this but wont be able to post until i get home next Thursday. I will continue cleaning up the paint ready for painting and start on the n/s rear window tommorrow.
