Crank Oil Seal

Hi
(t25 1991 1.9 water cooled petrol)
Ive just had the crank oil seal replased, when it left the garage the mechanic seemed happy so did i but when i got home less than a mile the leek seemed to be back. I will take it back on monday. Do i have to prepair for a large bill.
(new Vege engin 3000miles ish)

surely this would stil be under warrenty at 3,000 miles? Get it back to vege asap!!

I bougt the van after i had not been uesd for some time the engine was fitted 3years ago

may also be the camshaft end plug leaking rather than the seal seems to be fairly common problem, if you have it done again though get the garage to check the flywheel end float is correct in case the bottom end is worn and there's excess play or it's not shimmed right, vege engines come without flywheel and installer has to do the shimming when fitting the old flywheel and check it's right.

Had a similar outcome with my recon VEGE after about 4k

Main gallery oil plug?... if my recall is up to scratch.
Dropped it's oil all over my driveway just the very next day we'd returned from a thousand miler Cornwall trip.
Will you have to pay again? If you can you prove the crank oil seal was in sound condition and was not the connected to the original oil leak problem, I would say no! But can you?
Where abouts in UK is the garage in question? If SE London we need to talk !
