REDEX/Fuel additives

Hi
1985 1.9 petrol engine with Gasure LPG system fitted
I run my van predominately on LPG, but i do about 40 mile a month on petrol to try and keep the carb fuel lines etc working as they should, and i am wondering if it would be any advantage to add Redex or some other additive to add the flushing through etc of the system, or will that do more harm than good maybe.
Thanks

snake oil... er sorry redex, is a treatment for de carbonising injectors, valves pistons and such.
LPG produces little or no carbon deposits.
running the van at 3500rpm for 40 miles would have the same effect in my opinion.

AM i MAD?
a quote from ALICE IN WONDERLAND :-
The Duchess: Be what you would seem to be -- or, if you'd like it put more simply -- Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise.
So yep i am mad and loving every minute of it
SO its 400 yds a quarter and no Redex then
Thanks Guys

erm, ok!
that was my opinion, not advice by the way!!
i dont run mine on petrol unless there has been a mistake , i have enough petrol to get me to the next petrol station if im lucky (less than 2 gallon), which i have to admit has got a liberal dosage of redex in it, mostly for the benefit of the tank, rather than to clean the carb or pump.
it is recommended that you run it on petrol monthly.
i also recommend you check your rubber fuel pipes equally as often as you should run on petrol, empty petrol pipes perish and crack fastly imo.

Cheers steve all the advice i get on here is most welcome, as are all opinions tongue in check humour etc etc.
Superb site with great Knowledgeable folks.
So i will put a liberal dose of Redex in the tank, keep an eye on fuel lines and flters, and run on petrol occasionally if i remember (van runs better on LPG anyway).
One further question is there not a danger of the float in the carb deteriorating from lack of use?
Thanks again

there is a danger, but i have been using LPG since early 2003 on the same carb for over 80,000 miles ( although i have changed vans) and mine is ok.And i didnt even have a petrol pump fitted for a good 20,000 miles of that after i lent it to a freind in need.
