Hi
Since selling my bay and getting my T25 Westy i've been converted and there's no going back, the problem I have is finding books containing info on T25, because most of the books I've got concentrate mainly on T2 with very little coverage of T25.

Does any one know of any good books that cover mainly T25?? all models

Bentley and Haynes manuals.
Haynes is good for many things, but isn't as techical as Bentley.

Can't find the Flippenhammer Valve anywhere. Had to replace my exhaust cus I couldn't find any muffler bears at GSF. Another obsolete part.

the general forum would be better.you are more likely to get more folks reading it there.

I see (by searching your threads) that you have a JX 1.6TD engine  but have ambitions for larger and swifter oil burning engines ? I don't know that Haynes do a specifical D***el manual but swapping the engine will mean you can use a petrol water cooled manual for the van itself and you'll need a manual for the donor vehicle for the engine (Passat D or whatever)

Ian.

Assuming sbbfuk was asking about shop manuals like Haynes and Bentley, he is asking about technical manuals and this is the technical forum.... Hence my saying it is acceptable.

Not sure about Haynes, but Bentley only covers early non-turbo 1.6 diesels.

They didn't do one ... thinking that either the 'D' part would never catch on OR that everyone would only be swapping them for 1Ys and AAZs anyway

Ian

Hi Chaps

Thanks for all feed back, Rob was right in a way because I was not looking for Tech manuals (have got Hynes & Bently books) I was looking more for general books about T25's ie models, codes and photo's.

Yes I'm still keen to upgrade to a 1.9Td at some stage in the future but at the moment 1.6 doing just fine.
