I have been given a sunvic electromechanical Room Thermostat model TLX 9201. Same as B&Q sell.
http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/nav.j ... earch=true" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Question is can I use this one in replacement for the guffed autosleeper one I have??
The Sunvic one has 4 terminals marked 1-4. Wiring diagram shows terminals are: 1=Com, 2=Satisfied, 3=Demand, 4=N
Hope that helps!

My autosleeper one does not state which wire is which. There are two red wires in seperate terminals and two black wires in the same terminal. one terminal is unused which shows as earth.

OK the two earths are connected together and they connect to a diode of some sort which then goes to No.1 along with one of the live feeds
the other live goes to no.2
No. 3 is empty
now this is electrickery at it's most baffling.
but... all I did was use the old thermostat as a template to wiring it to the new one

yes it is.
when putting the two thermostats next to each other it became clearer how to fit it up.
I did mess up with my first go.. so thank goodness for fuses.

Hmm I have had a look and Im still none the wiser. On the back of the old thermostat cover there is a wiring diagram but it does not explain alot.
I suppose If it come to it I could keep my old one. It works but it shuts off when switched down to 5. If I leave it on 7 then it stays running. Im a stickler for things working properly though!!
When I switch it down to 5 and back to 7 I can see the thermostat switch opening and closing.
Will keep on pondering over this one.

take a pic of the internals or post a drawing of the wiring diagram

Will do Kev.
Have scoured the net for related pages about these thermostats and wiring from the propex and have found nowt. Seems a rare set up for some reason.

I have noticed a lot of red, orange, black wire set ups but no red, red, black, black wire type.

do you have that little diode in yours too?
red, red, black, black wire type.
is the same as mine... don't give up yet
If I lived round the corner it would be fixed up right in no time

There was no diode that I could see. Not between any wires anyway.
