Sounds like an after market (read home made) add on so could be almost anything.

I have an auxiliary cooling fan on a similar switch but you can hear that running. Spot lamps? Imobiliser? Camping Electrics to running electrics? Gadgetcopter blade deployment?

Your either going to have to figure from experimentation or start tracing wires.

I've got a green rocker switch on mine in the same place, it seems to make a fan work, not sure if its the heater fan or cooling fan, the vans new to me. It doesn't look like something which was fitted when the van was built.

Does it switch on the 12volts on the fridge for when you are travelling?

Wish mine was on the dash board because I only ever remember about it once we have started moving and I can't quite reach it from the driving seat!

Me being a non male thought it was the choke!!!!!!!!!

Being a non male you are not supposed to know about chokes at all, you are expected to presume it is for hanging your handbag on. pah, we should never have allowed them to drive in the first place *mutter mutter*

Hang on, is it for making the little green light go on and off? ;)

 Don't do handbags!! More like a rucksack and a pint and I am definately married to a bloke. I just pushed all the switches on the van when we first had it and hoped for the best. Anyway it's an automatic and I didn't even know they don't have chokes!! Is that right!
I just drive it :D
