Bought with out seeing. Apparently water cooled 1.9 petrol. Any info on what this enails I should be awar of etc. is this good/ bad/ indifferent?

Get looking at the wiki ^^^ then get yourself to a few meets. Don't know where you're based but you're bound to be near some and everyone is really helpful. You said there are 5 of you - if that involves kids you could always take them out in it first before telling your OH - that way there'll be 4 against one (it it's dogs, same applies!)
