AAZ Probs

Ok here we go, my pickup has an 1.9td AAZ engine in it that was drinking oil and pissing out diesel, so i got another engine. Fairly sure its another AAZ, i am swopping bits over from old engine to new one but i have noticed some differences with the fuel pump. The old one has a cylinder shaped thing on the side with a small pipe that goes to the top of the pump and ends in a bango coupling, don't know what this does.

The new engine pump has a blank plate where cylinder shape thing goes and no hole for bango coupling, but does have a micro switch that actuates when the throttle is opened. what is this for and do i need it if so how do i wire it up (has 2 wires from it)

Also the alternator is different and has a different belt, is this going to be ok and if so what wires connect to what, as in the old alt had seperate wires the new alt has the main big wire then a 2 wire multi plug
OLD
NEW
Any help appreciated
