Hello all,

I have an 87 Multivan with an AAZ conversion and want ot remove the sump to fit a new gasket as I have a small oil leak.

I notice that the alen bolts are difficult to get to, it looks like I need a very long alen key. Is there a special tool for this job or is a case of cobbling something together to get to them?

Any info greatly appreciated.

i dont know if its the same but on the 1.6 d you have to slightly prise away the bell housing from the engine by slakening the bolts. Thats the only way i could get my sump off.

Dont know if this helps your cause.

I wasn't aware of that one but It's the fact that there are bolts that are recessed deep in the sump channels that would need an alen key about a foot long to get to. I was wondering if there is a special key on the market or do i need to make one?

Thanks for the tip anyway mate.

i used an allen key socket with a ball end on a long extension, worked a treat.
