I want to replace the vacum advance on my van. Just spoke to Euro car parts and they tell me there isn't one listed.

Does anyone know where I can get one from?

I seem to remember talking to someone a few years ago who suggested using a unit off a 009 distributor (you have to re-drill the fixings). Can anyone confirm this?

The van is mid-80's 1.9DG with Pierburg 2E3.

They are quite cheap from your VW dealer. I think around £18 from memory.

£18.70 for a DG one.
I have several on the shelf if needed, but on holiday till next week.
