Which battery charger?

Hi,
I have a very flat starter battery and a leisure battery that will soon be flat unless I get the van up and running soon. I need a charger. I've searched on here and found a few threads, I've had a look on Halfords and machinemart and basically I'm confused (as per usual). I don't know my slow trickles from my 4amps. CLUELESS.
Can somebody recommend one that will initially recharge my starter and also be safe enough to charge the leisure too???
thanks in advance

I got one of these:
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165629" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Hope it does the job! It's German so that's a start right?
Also, what engine have I got? I might need to order some parts from GSF as van is a non-starter ATM.
Things I think I know about it: 1.9 petrol, water-cooled, 1985. I have looked for the engine derivative and I think its a DG stamped into the block to the right of the fuel pump??
I'll be replacing the fuel tank as it's had a leak since I got it (confirmed as rust damage to top recess) what other parts should I order as well as the tank? I've been told to get a sender unit seal - anything else? Should I replace the sender unit also? I don't know what is wrong with it not starting but the dead battery is my first job - it's turning over (when battery not dead) just not catching...
Its a bit of a dick-about this tbh as my dad is coming up to give me a hand in a fortnight (he's the expert - I'm the noob) but I need to order all the parts for him in advance - he's confident of getting it running but we're doing the tank whilst he's up.

Looks like the engine I have in my van.
1.9DG petrol watercooled (oh and i've just re-read your post and you know that...)
Well - my van is/was doing the same as yours. Turning over when battery good, but not catching.
Some great peeps from this very club gave up their afternoon one Sunday and got her running.
They took off petrol pump and gave it some 50-60 pushes on its bellows (can't remeber proper term - petrol pump push rod pushes it ordinarily) to check if fuel was getting into carb.
Oh, and also replaced the starter motor bush (about 90p). Dizzy cap, rotor arm (i had intended to replace leads too, but mine are still ok)
It still takes some doing and I think my battery is shot, so I think I shall replace that next, but I can just about get her started now

Another thought - fuel might have water in it if you have a rusted through tank. I could be wrong, but I still thinking along the lines of fuel issue with your van...
