you do know syncros have longer springs than 2wd?

Can't you get a couple of spring compressors on them, or bash the top packing back in with the spring.
If its got those ally bottom packers full of slate corrosion against the arms around the nipples, that can be shaved off with a sharp body file (millenicut)..

I have a set of springs here from a T25 Pick-up and which were factory fitted with the exactly same paint marks (2 Yellow, 1 Green).

2x Yellow = "Normal or Increased Payload".
I assume as they are from a Pick-Up they would fall into the 'Increased Payload' category?
If that is so, the question is of course, by what amount is the payload increased over and above the "Normal" payload?
Or are they just plain Jane's - i.e. "Normal"?

I have yet to compare then length to those I have fitted, but I have been assured they are longer springs which will require a spring compressor.

1x Green = 30mm Lowered
I find it hard to believe a Pick-up from the factory would have been 'lowered', I would have thought they would have been the opposite. Unless we are comparing it to a Syncro of course.

Under the circumstances, how much dependency can one out on these paint marks?

You might be wrong there too... Doka pickup load capacity is 3/4 ton I seem to remember.

Wasn't the Doka a double crew-cab? I guess would account for it's load capacity (smaller bed).

I should of said these springs are from a Single Crew Cab Pick-Up.... if that makes much difference.

the problem is exactly that (fitting them) i bought the syncro springs and dampers (2nd hand) because the rear end was really low, its used as a builders van during the week,so bags of sand, plaster, flagstones, blah, blah, blah, we got the shocker undone, pressed the trailing arm down, got old broken spring out, compressed the syncro spring,(scary) and not a chance would it fit, miles too big. release trailing arms on one side! (no chance) nuts an bolts too corroded. did a lot of swearing and threw some stuff about, still no joy. went online and sent a message to a well known t25 genius..... (advice),,,take the driveshafts off. :ok i will tomorra, weather willin

The syncro springs have same part no as ones spec'd for 2WD 'with lowered running gear' - the 105 'E' suffix, 2 greens normally?
The engine and box are 30mm lower on a Syncro, maybe a bit more? And they have different spring hanger towers above.
Sounds like something drastic needed to get them in and make the d/s angles sensible when unloaded, like dropping the front of the box a bit?
Then there's the deeper syncro engine carrier !
Still surprised compressors & a club hammer won't get them in :)

hi thanks for the info, didnt realise this job was gonna get so involved, i just thought old springs out,new ones in! easy!!
the springs fit nice over the hanger towers, and also fit over the bottom mounts,(just cant get em to go over both together) but no amount of jumping on trailing arms, levering with a british rail track bar ! shouting and general fist shaking skywards has any effect, compressors and a club hammer sounds very scary to me, i can imagine the compressors working lose then a big flyin syncro spring making a right mess of me hair :o theres always loads of weight in the back of the van so c.v.joint issues shouldnt be a problem, i may wait for warmer weather now,as lying outside on a frozen puddle in the street ,underneath the van only makes things more difficult
