Hi. Brand New Octogenerian- Owner/Member, Immaculate ]for 1986] T25, just had at 4.6K, but water streams in cabwell, out door steps in moderate rain Suspect this is screen rubbers? If so,what to do, because don't need a footbath that often?
Thanks, Geoff of Southampton. 3/1/2009 1608hrs

Thanks Kev.., No water in cavity indicated, definitely screen seal; 1 litre water trickled here gets directly into footwell almost immediately, flooding below and over mats, before streaming out door-steps. Seal seems ok, pliable, no cracks. Is sealant possible, or taping up?? Re-sealing seems to require taking out screen, [?] would that be possible for an arthritic octogen. buffer?
thanks, geoffMS

yes but why bother...
1/ get a new screen rubber
2/ chuck a rock through the windscreen.
3/ Call autoglass
insurance... that's what it's for
just check the frame for holes and any roughness that would prevent a tight seal, before the technician refits the screen
that's if your insurance gives you a screen without no claims loss.
otherwise you could try popping the screen out, fitting the new rubber, refitting the screen.
That is best done in warmer weather
