Can anyone help me out, ive had a recurring problem with starting my van, sometimes its just completely dead, nothing at all. battery is fine, starter has just been recondition, so not the solenoid like we thought or sticky starter. Sometimes it will and sometimes it wont, but if i get someone to push the van a bit and then try to start she fires up. If i put a piece of wire across from the battery to the solenoid, she will fire up no problem,???

Fed up, dont know what to do, cant afford auto electrician. no other problems whatsoever!

Sounds like it could be a problem from the ignition switch to the solenoid.

cheers mate, it was like you said, bad connection between battery and solenoid.
