Not T25 related , but the engine on my missusses' X reg 2000 Polo 16v has died big time, bottom end seized and f***ed the head, no warning, no noises just started it up five minutes warming up and then it just stopped.

As a fellow VW fans does anyone have suggestions for re-con places or engine suppliers

Not meaning to sound daft but I have never heard of the bottom end seizing and fubarring the head?!!
Were you told this or do you know for sure thats what happened?
I'm only asking because it sounds a little bit like the coolant froze and did some damage that way.

Cheers I have taken advice from a different garage , they weren't convinced either, so its is being moved on to that garage for them to have a look and do a recon, if needed
