Depends on what bodywork it will need, if there`s some metalwork to do then then it goes up by the price of new parts and labour to cut out and weld back in, but I`d budget at least 2 grand for a proper paint job. Make sure that whoever does it rakes out the seams properly, sorts any rot then rust-treats the seams before re-sealing etc, or the rust will be back through the seam in no time.

I don't think I will need any new panels. So it should just be labour and paint etc. I may need a new windscreen rubber though.

My camper is white. I'm dreaming of something a bit more exciting. Would it save me a fair bit of cash if I only got the outside sprayed? Do you reckon if I got the outside painted metalic grey for example it would look crap if the inside was still white? Would a good body shop be able to make a good job of just painting the bits that show from the outside?

metalic grey will look like the van is in primer
most primary and secondary colours led themselves to white
Pastels are the best overall spectrum as it looks good with white and black.
The black on transporters looks as good as chrome with paler creamier colours.

Hmm... I can see how pastel or primary colours on the outside would compliment the white paint on the doors etc on the inside. I'm not sure if feminine-looking primary colours are the look I'm going for, but it is worth considering. Lots of Split Window and Bay Window campers are pastel and white two-tone. Do you reckon the shape of T25s can pull off that colour scheme?

I particularly like your two-tone Autosleeper with the custom stripes. Those stripes look great. I have experimented with stripes on MS Paint, but I can't figure out how to use the software to attempt a two-tone paint scheme though. :





Anyone got any more pics of two-tone T25s or colour schemes that may complement a white painted interior or any custom stripes that suite the lovely shape of our vans?

I realise now that I should possible have put this thread in the "Modified" section. Sorry if all these picks are taking so long to load.

Im going through this myself and its hard to pick the correct colour scheme as you want something different but are worried its gona look pants . I like the two tone but as Kev says the mix has to be just right and fair play to the artistic among us who get it right . I unfortunately am not one of them and will probably get it wrong. Its a major investment and it needs to be right Knowing me I will end up white with a poxy decal down each side . The photo shop pics were a great help so thanks for taking the time to do it . I like the yellow and the blue two tone but not together as that would defo look pants lol

I'm not too fussed about the value of mine i would never get back half of what i have spent on it. If you plan on keeping it and can live with it. Go for it.

Thats the point of the two tone paint job. I want to retain some of the exterior white paint so that it still goes with the original white painted interior. The exterior could do with some fresh paint, but I can't afford to have the interior stripped and painted to match. I plan do replace the curtains as well. I could pick some curtain fabric to go with the new paint scheme. I think I'm going to go for some sort of green to the lower half.

Jason is from south Wales.. worse than yorkshirmen in my view, add to that he owns a westy, nuff said

two tone is a balance of hues,
think of colours in the same spectrum and you won't go wrong.
all blues and yellows look good
as do these:
greens and reds
sage green and mint
racing green and cream
any deep red and ice cream

then there is a whole world of beiges ,browns and creams

the green family are great colours to work with as no matter what hue you choose, it will lend itself very well to white and black.

personally, I think your van needs a strong colour,



this is my favourite... either with white or better still a pastel light yellow... almost a vanilla
in your favour is the white interior.. white is base and it will lend itself to 90% of colours.
