Boot lid gas struts

Hello All

Where can I find some new boot lid gas struts? Mine no longer hold the tailgate up.

And how do I fit them? Are they riveted in place?

Thanks

Llamapup

Llamapup, I bought mine off flea-bay...and they are THE right ones and do the job perfectly. In fact the tail gate almost took my face off THE first time I opened the boot with the new struts  It's a really simple 5minute job to replace them, just wip off the c clip, and slide on the new strut.

And if you are suffering from the credit crunch...a bit of copper piping just a little shorter than the extension arm will give years of hold (not lift though :( )

I had copper pipe on mine for ages.....then the van went to VW heaven... :(
