Try Steve at Gasure.
Or, there's a dealer on ebay called partsrange he does them.

No they dont work on blue bottles unfortunately, Blue bottles hold butane not propane and also the screw fitting is other handed. Thats so you cant fit a propane regulator to a butane bottle

As long as you have a propane reg you should be able to use propane for your hob, check the pressure info on the hob.
As far as re-filling bottles go, you have to buy a proper re-fillable bottle first, you can't just top up a Calor propane bottle at the pumps ! They're not cheap but if you're using a LOT of gas it might save you money. Also very handy for European trips as it saves looking for adapters & new regs when you go from country to country (Spain has so many different gas suppliers...)
Why not look into having an underslung gas tank fitted (Westy style) ?
But if you're not 100% certain what you're doing with gas then DON'T DO ANYTHING YOURSELF, get it done by someone who does

What will they think of next
Does that mean you can make your own leaky gas bottles just like in Spain ?

you don't have to make any alterations to the bottle, you just place the adapter in the neck on the bottle, connect the pump and open the bottle, fill, close valve, remove pump, reconnect regulator, and you are on your way!
the propper refillable bottles have a cut off valve that opperates when the bottle is 80% filled, this means that the pressure in the bottle can not get too high. when refilling an ordinary bottle there is a lot of guess work to get it to 80% full. rule of thumb is that one litre of gas = half a kilo. so a 6kg bottle will take 12litres, less 20%.
finding a place that will let you use one will be very difficult - you'll have to have it set up and ready to go so that it looks like you are just filling up your van.
however if you have a local independant LPG retailer, they are usually the ones that have gas conversion business they may fill you bottles for you, saving you the money for the adapter, you've more chance of getting them to fill it if you re-paint the bottle so it doesn't say calor on it!
the safest option is to get a proper tank or bottle that has the correct shut off valve!

I take it this is for propane and not butane? You can get a special adapter to refill your empty propane cylinder. Then use LPG pump at a petrol station or LPG retailer?
I tried sourcing adapter on eBay overnight. Nada. Nothing.
Where else should one look?

Petrol station staff can also be very funny about filling up a Westy LPG tank: IF they find out that it isn't for the engine but to run the cooker and fridge........something to do with the tax duty paid on engine fuels when compared to domestic/leisure use.

They shouldn't be Martin, cos you don't pay duty on heating/cooking lpg whereas Autogas has duty paid on it ... so it's the t'other way round. You should get a refund ... for the 20 litres max though it's not worth the hassle.
Ian.

Just one piont these filler's are highly illegal as there is no safety cut out most garages see you trying to fill a bottle with an adapter will stop you big style!!!!! Both I and Disco dave have the proper refillable bottles ok they cost a fair bit but there safe and designed to be re filled!
