Hi has anyone had dealing with futbus and their big brake conversion for the T25, was it easy to install, did it make any real difference, what calipers did you use etc etc.
Many Thanks

I had to do one on a dual carriageway at 70 n not sure where the bigger skids were....
I done the simple Brickwerks upgrade to fast road pads n aeroquip hoses n works lot better but will eventually go for a Porsche conversion one day, OTT I know but if you have ever braked hard in a Porsche U cant fail to be impressed by the performance, more so than the acceleration for me!! 8)

Hi there,i hope to upgrade my front brakes this year ,been looking on the futbus website ,the kit uses audi A4 discs that are vented much better cooling ,288mm in diameter ,has seperate hubs so when changing discs you dont have to replace wheel bearings as per stock items calipers are audi/seat.
You wont be able to use standard 14" wheels has to be minimum 16" to get them on ,uprights that connect top an bottom wishbones is machined to take the new caliper and is done on exchange basis.

With regards to a rear disc conversion i bought and fitted Ultimate engineerings last year, fantastic bit of kit uses parts from audi vw family you get new discs, modified hubs ,new calipers, backplate ,brakepipe and handbrake cable
You will need 15"wheels or bigger to fit this kit.

Hope this helps

regards

Thanks junior. I have 17" alloys on so shouldn't be a prolem then.

I've got a Futbus front brake upgrade on my Syncro and i'm very pleased indeed with the results.
Dave is a pleasure to deal with, and very reasonable.

The aim with his kits is to be able to buy modern easy to source off the shelf VAG parts when you need to replace bits - so they're future proofed to a certain extent.

Hi Rich ,did you purchase the whole front brake kit from Futbus or find some of the parts yourself ?

I took the easy option and purcashed everything from Dave, apart from the braided hose kit, which I got from CJ - though these required modification before fitting. (I believe Dave now does braided kits which are already modifed)

I also got Dave to fit new front bearings, new Ball Joints and he also sorted out the powder coating of my fron arms too.
