Jed.....If I'm reading your reply correctly and please forgive me if I'm not, you are saying you defraud Halfords by purposely flattening your batteries, returning them as faulty on a regular planned cycle, when there is nothing wrong with them? Doesn't this play on your conscience or sense of morality? :roll: And what suprises me the most is that you 'appear' to be bragging about it....I would be feeling ashamed and slightly guilty..............But hey! what do I know...I must be living on a different planet to you or from a different era when honesty and fair play were good personal traits to have.

Probably why there prices are so high with so many customers ripping them off, somebody has to pay for it in the end.

they're doing better than all the other local motor factors,. they're all dissapearing,.
& we're left with spotty boys & girly girls that don't know anything & charge the earth
& don't give you a refund say,. when they match (or don't rather) an expensive can
of custom mix paint :x
not saying i'd get myself a new battery every year, that is rather naughty :wink:

Goddam it!!! I have the battery but the terminal connectors are different, got it started though by touching them but need new ones.

Are these easy to replace, i now have the round shape ones on the new battery and did have the sort of flat clamp ones.

:wink:

Hi

you can get replacement round terminals from the motor factors, the flat one's bolt onto them, no need to cut or join.

I bought a 2 year old Frontera 9 years ago and it was fitted with a Halfrouds replacement battery and I sold it a month ago and the battery was still going strong, it was just the rest of the car that was falling to bits :D

A useful website to browse if you're looking for a new battery is:-

http://www.performancebatteries.co.uk/find-battery" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This company offers free next day delivery.
