1990 panel van Dg engine pierburg carb

The problem i have is when the engine gets warm and you apply the revs, it sounds like firecrackers are going off in the carb and the van coughs and splutters losing power.

i suspect the carb is at fault massivly, however is this just a case of setting it up properly or is this a major snag?

if anyone lives in the cardiff area and can show me how to set it up or fix the problem at my house there is a bottle of jack in it cos its got me stumped.

i'm dying to get my van back on the road but this is preventing me from goin to MOT station and my wife keeps spending all my money so funds are tight.

It runs and drives fine when cold, thought it could be a choke problem

warm it up and hold the choke open. take the plastic cover from the top of the carb and have a look to see if its fully open. the haines manual gives loads of info in setting them up correctly its worth having a look at one
