Hi

Ive got another little problem, when my van gets warm it idels way to fast. Starts nice and slowly when cold and then tends to rev to high after 5 mins or so.

I understand that there is an idel stabiliser. Where would this be and how does one check that this is working?

I did have someone look at it and fix it for me. He siad that a plug had come lose on one of the carbs. I have since replaced my dizzzy and its back to running to fast again.

Thanks

Sounds to me like someone has been messing with hte carbs, the screws on the inside of the linkages are not tickover screws as is the common conception, these set the basic throttle gap and after that should not be touched, if they are used for tickover screws then the left carb produces more vacuum on the dizzy advancing the ignityon and raising the tickover, this is my supposition but its common, pull the vacuum advance of the dizzy when warm and see if the tickover dies away, if the carbs are not set right then it will.

Cheers

Well when it was fixed before the guy said that one carb was sucking in too much air and that it was due to a plug or somthing like that had come loose

Make any sense
