Finally going Subaru

Right after not being able to sell the subaru van I had for sale I have decided to go back to my original plan and put it in my van. I never used it originally because of time and came across a virtually new 2.1dj vege engine for peanuts so fitted that instead as a straight swap and needed to use the van. Now with scooby van sitting there have decided to get in into my van. I have virtually everything including kep auto adaptor eninge etc but what I need to know is where can I get a wiring diagram so I can modify my new loom to fit into my van. Fancy having a go at it all because I want to learn about the loom as I go instead of just getting it convert by rjes but will do that if wiring diagrams not available. Any help much appreciated. Am eventually joining the dark side and can't wait

Hi BRB,
Have you looked on the Internet ? The Subaruvanagon group is a good starting place. As the ECM and wiring varies by model year and market (Europe, US, Japan), you'll need to know exactly what engine you have to be sure the wiring info is correct for you.

Good luck with it. I would have loved to have bought yours when you were selling and dumping it in mine, but the bread knife said no

And mines an Aircooled auto too so a bit of plumbing would have been involved and at the moment I can hardly even be bothered to check the oil - too much like hard work! Good luck though, and dont forget to post some pics.

Keep it Aircooled, or I will inform the Aircooled VW police.

I used the Kenedy one without any problems.
Do not put the ECU in the right hand engine bay,put it inside the van away from all the heat and water.
