Hi All.
As part of my resto I've been thinking about a killer (Well maybe more GBH) sound/DVD system.
Where do I start? Safe wiring/power supply? Is 50W per channel (?) enough?

:ok

Short answer would be that the world is your oyster for in car entertainment and plenty of forums around that just deal with that. After all you're just hooking it up to a 12v battery - the vehicle is irrelevant really. Well, except where to mount front speakers....

Great suggestion. I plan on writing up about my system at some point (Becker headunit, AudioControl DQT, Phoenix Gold Route 66 amp, Image Dynamic horn drivers, CDT Eurosport 7" mids and Phase Linear Aliante 10" sub) - Just too busy doing a nice big subaru transplant first ;-) All of this is shoehorned into a fully featured camper.

First step would be sound insulation - try this link http://www.type2.com/library/heat/heat-soundproof.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A great forum is http://www.talkaudio.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - it is not van specific but it is full of usefull info in there.

Good luck.
