Happy New Year, i have 2 Cibie super oscer 100w rally spot lamps i want to fit to my t25 , i tryed the brackets from mr Simon Baxtor but dont work as they fix to the bumper ? i would like to have the spots higher same height as head lamps , maybe make brackets to fix into metel near front grill some how with out damage done to body work? any good tips would be gratful. Thank you John.

put em on the bumper where they are supposed to be!
they are designed not to be as high as the headlights.

sorry, no help i know, but i had to say it, before someone else did, and remember that anything more than 65w is for off road use only, legally.

My brackets don't attach to the bumper, they attach to the deformation panel behind the bumper just like VW did, the brackets are direct copies of the VW brackets, only better because they are stainless.
The holes are already there if you take the bumper off.
There is space for 2 sets if needed, have a look at Jed the Spreads truck, it sports 2 sets of my brackets.

Thanks for that but the lights are much bigger , Cibie super oscars are around 10 inch diameter and dont fit on to the brackets ? no worries

SuperOscars are massive things! They are also designed to be mounted in the open for heat diserpation (which alows them to run really high wattage bulbs without any heat issues whatsoever, unlike many standard body mounted lights (or cheep copys) which don't like high power bulbs though they fit).

I think your only real option for bumper mounting will start with Simons foglamp brackets, which IS the proper way of fitting them, as modeled on Jed's syncro (OEM front foglamp is basicly an Hella Comet 450, so thats what the brackets are designed for). They are strong, as is the front of the van under the bumper where they bolt to (much stronger than flimsy bumper or thin front pannel which is only body pannel thick in many places), very important for holding such a big heavy lamp steady.

An OEM foglamp, fitted like VW did, minus bumper. Note the 3 small holes for a second pair as Simon mentions, just add Rivnuts!

You'll need to change the bolt angle 90° with another bracket, maybe need to extend it forward too so the Super Oscars to have enough space, but they may stick infront of the bumper in a vulnerable way. To be honest given the space the normal Oscar or slimline Oscar+ may be a better bet. They are the best old style rally lamps though, and they are still better than most - a quality peice of kit!

A different solution. Its a different look, which might not be what you want but an A bar might be a good/better option, will mount them a bit higher and probubly offer them more protection than sticking out above the bumper, won't wobble.

For HOOG spotlights the only real solid and good option is to weld 90 degree angled iron metal on the top of the deformation panel in the gap behind the bumper - they wont wobble and you can place em where you want. Another option is simply to weld a bracket to poke out thru the grille on the crossmember there again they wont wobble, bolting direct to bodypanels results in wobbley lights! I've fitted enough to 4x4 off roaders and rally cars to know by now...
