Hi All and Happy New Year,

My hitop (glass fibre I believe)is in need of a little care and attention.

Does anybody recommend a filler for a small hole / crack?
Is there a cleaner I could use on it to get rid of stubborn marks

Is it possible to repaint the hightop, if so what type of paint?

repairs are best made iwth a the same material the roof is made from. However, a little care and time will make a tidy repair. If its just a crack, just a little resin will solve it.

As for cleaning it, any caravan shop should be able to sell you the right stuff.

painting will require the correct paint for fibreglass,because it flexes, and some paint will just crack

i normally ( well sometimes) wash mine off with traffic film remover, t-cut it then polish it about once a year, if i get time! Its a bugger of a job, i hate doing it, and havent managed to do it again since may07

any fibreglass filler will do.something like http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gelcoat-Filler-id ... 0096657235 should be ok for small repairs.as for cleaner try something like cillit bang.you can buy fibreglass paint from marine chandlers.
