Battery size.

The battery on my T25 1.9 watercooled has given up. Van is other side of town and i need to buy another battery. What size, amp etc would be best to buy? Cost?Thanks.

530-650amphour , bigger the better obviously, vary with make, as does warranty, Bosch are generally good but expensive
code is 065 iirc
VW supply VARTA these days, seem ok and quite a bit cheaper than a bosch at full price

As bigger capacity as you can get in the battery compartment with compromising the battery lid/safety ie doesn't stand too high (think that is 72amp/hr but more typically 65amp/hr as has been said.
Also quality....Bosch, Varta, Lucas, Exide premium 3 year warranty models.
Not necessarily Silver technology as these buses don't have high voltage charge circuitry.
Personally I believe that the low maintenance sealed types are not particularly suited to typical camper/bus use and prefer removal tops for once/twice yearly top-ups with distilled water.

If you have a Costco card it might be worth a look.
Just replaced my driver's side one with a Bosch Silver lifetime warranty, lid closes perfectly think it was £61
