its a bit of frucking plastic
Anyone know if GSF or somewhere else stock them please?
Its the connector that bolts onto my engine block so that the coolant pipe can connect up from the radiator

Mine broke too - so i replaced it with one off the AAZ. However, now i havent got a sensor that switches off the glow plugs..
Suppose i better get one - and i imagine the sensor is extra... Pah.

pretty sure its 22 - not 100% sure were the pipe goes except to the front of the van. The edge of the flange is in line with the head gasket, but I'm sure the leak is not from the head gasket. Its been a crappy weekend for wanting to fix it - juts a wee bit wet here and today I have this weeks lessons to finish planning - perhaps next weekend, at least I will be on holiday
Aidan, I'll give you a shout if I do need one, thanks. Could I get one off a golf diesel at my local scrappy if the need came? (or even a petrol one?)

Yes, I think the Golfs and Passat diesels will a have similar outlet stub there, if its the small one at the back of the head. The larger one on the side above the vac pump will have different temp sender take-offs than yours.

is the flange actually bust? you say you think it is leaking from there, on mine it leaked from flange i just replaced the o ring and used a bit of blue hylomar, no bother from it in last 20k miles.

That is what I have to find out first but I was just planning ahead in case the flange was broken. If I get it fixed then I have a firm buyer for my van at my asking price (they know about the water leak, otherwise they would have driven it home last weekend).
Thanks
