Is it possible to use a puncture prevention treatment (not the crap ones you put in after you get a puncture) with nitrogen filled tyres. had a new set of commercial tyres fitted at cosco on my westy. im asking this because the van is having a twin tank lpg conversion done by gassure. so untill i can get a spare wheel carrier i need protection.
Thanks

Well yes it can be used, but not a good idea using it anyway.
Nitrogen filled tyres? unless you are thinking of racing your bus or flying a Boeing 747 not much point.

How about propane - reseve LPG source. Would also give anyone a suprise running into the side of you.
Or helium? Would it make your vehicle lighter?

ahhhhh you beat me too it

- I wanted to suggest both of those - especially the helium filled for weight reduction/fuel economy!

In fact, seal the bus properly, wear a gas mask vented to outside and fill whole lot with helium. A slight push from a five-year-old and you'd be off.

Alternatively, leave out the gas mask and get used to speaking like the squeaky lass in Two Pints Of Lager

was going to get a syncro style carrier.
costco wholesale fill all tyres you have from them with nitrogen and put green valve covers on them to show its nitrogen filled. they were alot cheaper than any of the other tyre places in my area. also cheapest place for bosch 5star silver car batterys. any body used tyre puncture preventin treatment then?

No, the nitrogen prevents them leaking to a small extent apparently. I'd take a spare somehow if you can
Costco topped mine up with nitrogen for nothing, best deal on Bosch batteries, mostly Michelin tyres (got all 4 on a MIcra done for £44 about 3 years ago!). Currently doing a cracking lightweight ally trolley jack - heavily built but light! About £80 and they always have 2 or 3 different makes of generators. Hard to go there and not spend money though

Speaking atomically here. Nitrogen particles are massive in comparision oxygen carbon dioxide etc. and therefore dont pass through rubber or a valve quite as easily. So yep prevents leaks as you say. No help at al in the event of a nail going through the tyre mind you.

"OKO" used to be the bees knees way back when....
ther are a couple of other products out there "Slime" and industrial stuff too... still need to check your tyre pressures regularly though as it wont prevent them losing some when something does go through it..... and you need to know....
