This morning the van froze up. I was told it was anti frezed last month when I got it, but obviously not enough.

Hopefully it hasnt done any damage, I stopped as soon as the temperature guage got to about 3/4, and have just run it up and the heater is now getting warm and it doesnt appear to be pressuring.....so fingers crossed.

Anyway have just read the wiki about bleeding it, but what I need to know is what is the capacity of the cooling system so I know how much antifreeze to get, and where on the rad is the bleed screw, ie how do i get to it? Its snowing and cold now so aint crawling round outside now only to find its behind a panel or something

Its a 1700 diesel by the way

Cheers

Chris

I don't know if they are all the same but all my vans have had the bleed point on the top lhs of the radiator as you look at it from standing in front of the van, just take the top grill off and there it is.

Cheers Cate........off to buy antifreeze in the morning then.

I like to mix 50/50 so sounds like almost 2 gallons to buy :o
