Can anyone tell me what the output is meant to be? mine is 13.4v at the battery, i've been told it should be around 14.4v.

depends on the state of charge at the battery, low charge, higher voltage, battery well charged, out put lower, thats what the regulator does, but 13.4 is a bit low for a uncharged battery
