Good mechanic/garage needed Plymouth area to sort issues!

Hi, does anyone know of any mechanics in the Plymouth area that are knowledgeable around T25's. My camper would not start after i stopped in a queue waiting to board a short crossing ferry. It eventually started after about 10mins although it seemed the battery was about to die too. Anyhow same thing happened when trying to leave the ferry, it struggled to start then gave off a mighty loud backfire and was running again.
I really want to get my van serviced/needs an MOT too next month-so if anyone can recommend a mechanic/garage or some possible pointers to what my problem could have been (flooding?).

Needless to say my camper got me & the band to the gig with time to spare.....but who knows next time!

Cheers

Check coil, leads & rotory arm in dizzy.

As coils get warm they become less effective & a worn rotory arm makes the gap too big for the spark to jump.

If you're doing a service replace the leads & rotory arm anyway.

good t25 mechanic in Plymouth

Try getting in contact with Dave Arnold who has a couple of T25's and works at a VW/Audi garage down at Stonehouse. It's a non main dealer who still service & deal with the 'older' VW'S And is called PHIL DAVIES if I remember correctly(Its been a couple of years since I've been there) :(

try bradburn autocare, on the inustrial estate near the ski centre.

He is a vw specialist too, ace guy and very good. Not sure if he is an expert with t25s but a very good mechanic! 01752 672151
