do you know if it's possible to machine wash the matress covers?
if so, what setting?
sorry if this is a silly question, i'm a bloke and everything normally goes on the same setting.
i've got the grey covers from a westy.

Depends what they're made of really. The only way to screw them is to wash them at too hot a temperature so if you set it for synthetics you should cover all the bases. You might have to Iron them afterwards though. Have you considered using a 'VAX' and doing it in situ?

We took the rear seat covers off DJ, our first camper and an Autohomes Karisma, as they were filthy when we got her and some repaires were also needed

They were soaked overnight in Oxyclean mixed with luke warm water then put through the washing machine on the least shrinky programme and came out really well

We let dry at normal room temp then stapled back to the original ply bases (slightly quicker than taking out the original 100+ rusty staples to remove them) and it made a huge difference to the interior

Slightly different to your situation but I guess I'm saying keep everything as cool as possible if you use the washing machine!

cheers everyone. going to try the synthetic wash and see what happens. if that dose'nt work i'll soak them in the oxyclean. just hope i don't have to use the iron, because that's more confusing than the washing machine.
