Cutting hole to fit pop top to tintop

Hi,
The next stage of our conversion will be to fit a pop top to our tintop. Still looking for the right top and haven't decided on which one yet. Price will be the deciding factor i'm sure!!
Has anybody fitted a roof to their van? I obviously need to cut a hole in the roof to allow access and also need to fit the bed boards?
Questions:
1. what size hole and where to cut it?
2. what tool to use (don't have compressed air at home)
3. sealing/bonding. Is tigerseal the best? and is this all thats needed?
4. anyone local to Nottingham who could assist?
thanks in advance

there`s three ways of doing this. fit the whole westy roof like mike ghia intends to do, cut a small hole and fit a mosaik style kit or cut the roof out and replicate the origonal westy style as i am doing.
if you want any more info on what i`m doing give me a shout.
lee.
