Morning i have looked on the WIKI but don`t seem able to find the answer to my question which is:-

How long and how difficult is it to change the rear Shockers on my 1985 1.9 watercooled camper, plus what pitfalls if any should i watch out for.

relatively easy, the bolts and nuts involved are usually v tight and corroded in place, so plenty of Plus Gas in days beforehand is good. Jack up van high as is safe and axle stands both sides (chock front wheels too!) Place jack under the lower swing arm and raise it a bit. Undo and remove bolts at top and bottom of shock absorber, then slowly lower swing arm until you can get it all apart. Spring will come out with a bit of a fight and you will help yourself by using spring compressors too....
Replace springs and shocks with good quality ones....dont waste yer money on cheap tat.......its not worth it! Good luck
