After reading through some of the awesome articles in past issues of Overland Journal magazine (lent to me by Jake)i have started to look at some of the websites advertised in the mag. Some good stuff in their to be honest, for instance this i thought would be handy

The list of top quality tackle goes on and on as you would expect from a yank mag. Then i came across this a plan of how your camp can be set up and the stuff you can buy and thought,''come on draw the line''. Looks very organised though not like my usual pull up get out scratch my nuts and i am here kind of slant on camping.

maybe i should start to make a bit more of an effort.

I'd rather spend the money on a good 12v compressor.

As for the hasps and locks.. Aluminum hasp, hum, good belt with bfh would take it right off.

Do like the seatcover/organizer. Would want to make sure it didn't interfere with passenger or seat movement. Have made similar organizers in curtains on back side and hatch windows. Very handy

Camp arrangement... well, layout depends on wind, sun, drainage, and how flat campsite is. None are even considered in their layout. Pic shows them in middle of open field. Not good for wind... and if storm comes up, not good for lightning. Lots of metal in those tents, awning, etc.

It would seem money isnt a problem to some of the people who feature in the mag

.. but a hacksaw and a screwdriver... ? They should be hardened steel, aircraft 'grade' dural is not noticeably more difficult to saw through than any other ally alloy

I do like 'em though, beautiful 'deterents' (sad, but yes, I usually do have a hacksaw in my kit :) )

I wonder what "aerospace grade aluminum" is !!

Id make 'em out of 17-4PH. Your hacksaw wouldnt get through that too easily Clive :) :)
