Hi guys,

I'm looking to get my stereo wired up to a leisure battery via an on/off switch, and even though there is a diagram in the wiki, I cant quite figure what goes where.

I've taken the pic below in the hope that somebody will be able to make things a bit clearer.

I obviously need to retain the memory of the stereo when switched off.

The Red tag has ACC printed on it
The Yellow has +Battery printed on it
The Blue is system remote

Any help/advice much appreciated

with out a pain box picture this may not sound as easy as it it is but here goes! take a +ve and a -ve wire from the leisure battery, connect the -ve one to the black lead on the stereo. now for the complicated bit.

take the +ve wire and connect it and the yellow wire from the stereo to one of the terminals on the switch!

then connect the red wire from the stereo to the other side of the switch.

this way when you flick the switch the radio will have power, when you flick it again the radio goes off, but because the yellow wire is connected to a permanant +ve the radio will not loose it's memory/pree sets!

The correct radio wiring (it looks like a standard ISO plug from the photo) is the following:-

- Red wire (labelled ACC) to terminal 15 (preferably from the fused side of one of the fuese in the fuse box, not from an existing wire !!!)

- Yellow wire (labelled Battery) to terminal 30 (preferably from the fused side of fuse 7 - dedicated for a radio).

- Black wire to chassis

- Blue wire (automatic aerial), leave disconnected and insulated
