I have an '81 T25 and have bought some mercedes alloys to fit. The bolt fitment is correct but the wheels on the back keep working loose. The fronts are bolt pattern and stay tight on the disks, whilst the rears are nuts onto a drum. I've noticed there are two 9mm bolts on the drum face that are stopping the wheel from sitting flush, as the original steels had a stamped recess for these. Can I remove them? I set the torque wrench at 130pounds but still they work loose. Any ideas?

Have you got the lengthened studs on the back?

I haven't got the lengthened studs so will probably need these, although now after reading the link I'll drop out the bolts and see how much more thread can be picked up. Thanks for your help.

take them nuts of dums and u fine the the wheel fit better, but i had to put lengthened studs and cut them down to size on the back, easy 2 do but an ass get the big nut of puls i got some hub fist and chang the studs befor taking mine of and got the suted right for the wheels, and u should be fine

Take the 9mm nuts of the drum brake ,it wont do it any harm ,mine have been off at least 4yrs.

take em off, the wheel nuts hold the brake drum on anyway !!
