if its the front to rear pipe i doubt you will get one from vw.im pretty certain they are obsolete.best put an ad in the wanted forum.get the plastic ones.if you can.also this will mean dropping the fuel tank to replace them.as well.

Defo dont like the sound of that
that sounds like a big job. Im just a bit worried that they put some spotty git on the job and broke it by carelessness and now i have to pay as it was 'corroded' bugger bugger bugger

It will have needed changing regardless... almost 100% on that! Probably saved you a complete overheat scenario and wwrecked engine!
You have to ASK them ASAP, 'What pipe, exactly', else we can't help any more...
The one Emma put up will still possibly have a sticker or part no. on it somewhere, ask them how long it is if they can't be clear... expect it IS the one Emma mentioned, or even both that and one of the front-to-rears.
Front to rear are many feet long (6' ?), the pump to thermo one, about 20" maybe a bit more, with the dangly bits as shown
But the front-to-rears are only metal on earlier models, so...
What engine, what van, what year?

vans a 1990 1.9 petrol 5 speed box. But i have just been onto the guy at the clutch centre and it is the u shaped one thats leaking, and vw have sent over a photocopy of the one they had in stock which is the right one. So hopefully i will get it back tomorrow. (no indication as to price though)
Cheers for the help though guys you're all diamonds

£50 'ish I expect
Your '90 will have the plastic front-to-rears.. although they have metal inserts at the ends that do sometimes corrode..
Just so they know you're on their case, you might ask them what type of anti-freeze they'll be putting in (50/50 water/antifreeze), as it matters a bit with WBX's

when they dropped the engine
It's usual to drop the gearbox on a WBX to do the clutch, I think...

yeah i've heard that as well although im lead to believe that you can do it both ways but the gearbox route is easier and doesnt disturb the coolant pipes. Ah well you live and learn next time i'll do it myself as long as its not raining/dark cold etc......
