Water pipe problem...

Van i'm workin on has got rotten metal pipes but when i bought it i acquired a set of new plastic ones. They are different bore sizes though so my question is how do u adapt em to fit, can u heat em n fit em o do i need new hoses or adaptors?? :?

our plastic pipes have rubber jonnies on the ends , cover a multitude of sins and sizes using hose clips for xtra tightness.

warm the rubber pipes up in boiling(ish) water, they go on, its tight, but do-able.....

Iv got replace my coolant pipes as they are corroded, iv got some original metal ones on the way, how big a job is it to replace them? does the fuel tank have to come off etc, can it be done on a set of ramps on the drive?

done it a few times now, best done on a ramp or a set of 4 stands (high as safely can be!) Ramps a good option. Tank does have to come off...
Not an expert job but nice when ya can take ya time n do it as its an ar5e of a job rather than technical! :lol:

Werent bad job at all, cut 1 of the old uns off with an angle grinder!! Then found IF you undo the screw securin the hand brake cable to the swing arm off you get loads of room to fiddle em in! Had to gring a bit of room in th engine bay tho for the placcy pipes as they are thicker..
Jobs done tho! :D
